Important notice about personal trades as an agent

Important notice about personal trades as an agent:

A RECO Bulletin (attached) has gone out underscoring that, under the TRESSA rules, agents cannot represent a buyer/seller or tenant when they are dispensing their own properties. The conflict of interest is deemed to be too high to navigate.

Given this, KW Portfolio will not be signing off on any future deals where you as the owner are double ending a sale, a lease, or a purchase where you are buying your own listing from your Seller client.

You can absolutely represent yourself as a buyer, seller, landlord or tenant, with the proper Registrant disclosure. What you cannot do is represent the buyer when selling your own house, or be the listing agent and buy your own listing. You also can’t be the landlord and represent the tenant, or vice versa.
