New Mandatory Fields Take Effect February 18

The new and enhanced fields are mandatory as of Tuesday, February 18. These improvements are designed to streamline your listing process and provide more comprehensive information for buyers and sellers.

It is important to note that live listings and drafts created prior to February 18, started before the release of the new fields and enhancements, are not subject to new mandatory field requirements.

Mandatory Fields as of February 18

• Property Type

• Directions

• Survey Type

• Garage Yes/No

• Inclusions

• Above Grade Finished Square Footage

• Above Grade Finished Square Footage Source

Virtual Tours

The new field, Branded Virtual URL 1, populates the virtual tour or multimedia link on public sites such as REALTOR.ca.

In the short term, the Virtual Tour URL field, now renamed Unbranded Virtual URL 1, will continue to drive users to REALTOR.ca.

MPAC Pre-Population

Remember that you now have the option of pre-populated data from MPAC PropertyLine, including:

• Year Built

• Frontage

• Depth

• Lot Size

• Above Grade Square Footage

• PropTx Property Type and Property Sub-Types

More pre-population fields are also coming soon.

If you wish to use data for the pre-populated fields from sources other than MPAC, you are free to overwrite the MPAC data on your own. The data you enter must be accurate. For some fields, like Above Grade Finished Square Footage, you will need to specify the source.

Only Brokers and Salespeople can view fields associated with square footage within REALM™ or Matrix. Square footage data is not viewable in client portals and does not flow to public websites.
